HILA proudly brought new life to the very foundation of Dar Sant’ Anna in Senglea – a place originally established through the generosity of Nicolo Dingli and Madalena Cornelio. This initiative is an example of collaboration between the Church, the Government and the Private sector, working hand in hand. Dar Sant’ Anna will now serve as a home for service users who have been part of HILA’s journey for many years.
The official inauguration was attended by the Founder of Vassallo Group, Nazzareno Vassallo, Chairperson of Vassallo Group, Natalie Briffa Farrugia, Group CEO of Vassallo Group Pio Vassallo, Shareholder of Vassallo Group Maryanne Vassallo, Directors and CEOs of Vassallo Group, together with the Corporate Management Team of Care Malta Group. We were also honoured by the presence of Archbishop Charles Scicluna and the Minister for Inclusion and Social Wellbeing, Julia Farrugia.
During the official inauguration of Dar Sant’ Anna, the Chairperson of Vassallo Group, Natalie Briffa Farrugia, described this milestone as a historic moment in the history of Vassallo Group through HILA, by inaugurating a new home in the heart of the community for our service users. Natalie Briffa Farrugia explained that this is a partnership between the church, the government, and the private sector, all coming together with one social aim, that is to ensure the highest priority remains the dignity and respect of every person.
HILA CEO Janet Silvio highlighted how the opening of Dar Sant Anna reflects HILA’s continued commitment towards its service users by helping them build their abilities and live in an inclusive community.Janet Silvio explained that Dar Sant’ Anna will serve as a home for service users who have been part of HILA’s journey for many years, making this milestone even more meaningful.
